Chad Lembeck    Partner/President   Chad is a founding partner and President of Next Step Energy Solutions. Chad brings an extensive background in finance and investment advice to NSES. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Lembeck served as a private client advisor to numerous individuals and companies, including DC Brands International, Inc., a public company in the field of energy and nutritional drinks from 2009-2011. Prior to that, he played professional baseball in the Colorado Rockies minor league system from 2007-2009. Chad was recognized by the Denver Business Journal on its annual  Who’s Who In Energy  list for 2018-2019  Chad earned a Bachelors degree from Rice University.

Bob Bigelow    Partner   Bob is a founding partner of Next Step Energy Solutions. He brings more than 30 years of experience in investment banking and municipal/public financing to NSES. Prior to joining NSES, Mr. Bigelow was a founder and manager of Blue River Asset Management, a municipal bond arbitrage hedge fund. Prior to forming Blue River, Mr. Bigelow was Vice-Chairman of Dougherty, Dawkins, Strand & Bigelow, a municipal bond firm. From 1988 to 1990, Mr. Bigelow served as Senior Vice-President and head of Municipal Sales and Trading and Municipal Finance at Drexel Burnham Lambert, Inc. From 1976 to 1988, he was head of Municipal Finance and later President of Kirchner Moore & Company. From 1970 to 1976, Mr. Bigelow was a Manager in the tax department of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co.  Bob has a Bachelors degree from the University of Oklahoma and a Juris Doctorate from Washburn University.

Mark brings more than 20 years of business development and legal experience to the company. Prior to joining the company, Mark served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of the Blue River Asset Management from 2006 to 2010, and as Corporate Counsel at Qwest Communications International Inc. from 2002 to 2006. Before that, he was an attorney in private practice at Holme Roberts & Owen LLP and at the United States Department of Justice. Prior to joining the company, Mark served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of the Blue River Asset Management from 2006 to 2010, and as Corporate Counsel at Qwest Communications International Inc. from 2002 to 2006. Before that, he was an attorney in private practice at Holme Roberts & Owen LLP and at the United States Department of Justice.

Mark received a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center, and Masters and Bachelors degrees in Political Science and Economics from Northwestern University.
